NCVPS teachers have a lot of great tips to share with online students and the support crews who facilitate their learning. “They know a thing or two because they’ve seen a thing or two.”
Day By Day Success
The best way to have students be successful in an NCVPS course is to have them log in and dedicate some time EACH school day to complete course work.
Completing the course little by little each day will help students remember the subject matter. If students have several days between logins, then they will likely have to relearn the content from their last login. Waiting until Saturday to complete six hours of coursework is not setting up the student for success. Additionally, students will feel out of the loop with what’s going on in the course if they don’t log in consistently.
If you are assisting online students with their learning, help them establish this daily routine. More importantly, help students understand the reason for doing this. They should do the work today so that they can get the results they want tomorrow.
That’s essentially what we’re doing as adults. We do the work today so that we can live like we want tomorrow.
