Meet Ashleigh

“After I graduate, I’m going to start at FTCC for cosmetology and after I get my beauty degree. Then I’m going to get my business degree and open up my own business around the world.” –Ashleigh L.

“Ashleigh is a super student because not only is her work always excellent and on time, she juggles being a mom to a one year old and lives in Fort Bragg on a military base with her fiancé’s parents. She lost her mother in 2012 and still has hard days. She has heart and is committed to doing her best. She is amazing and inspiring!!” –-Leigh Ann Conner, NCVPS Environmental Science Teacher

Advice for Online Students

My advice to other students would to be to really just do the work, pay attention, and don’t turn anything in late.

The Internet

I really like going on Voki, that was my absolute favorite. I loved creating the avatar, and the way they talk is really funny. But I spend most of my internet time on Netflix at home, but not until I finished all my work.

Gadgets and Things

My laptop and my iPhone are my favorite gadgets.

Ashleigh’s Goals

My goal was to show my daughter, Lilli, that no matter what life throws in your path you can always succeed.

Random Ashleigh

I like cats.

Favorite Book

To Kill a Mockingbird. I like eBooks so much better than printed brooks.

Favorite Music

My favorite song is Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake because my daughter just learned how to dance. She’s one, and she loves dancing with me to this song.

Favorite Show

My favorites are Switched at Birth and Pretty Little Liars.

Final Thoughts

“I’m a very outgoing person. I strive to be the best I can be. I love NCVPS, it helped me to better understand everything in the class.” –Ashleigh L.
