The NCVPS Super Student Award is for students who have gone above and beyond the course requirements and as a result have enriched the content, class dynamic, their own learning, their classmates’ learning, and even their teacher’s learning.
“So far, my online experience has been great! I wanted to continue French, but it wasn’t offered at my school, so taking it online was really helpful. It was also nice to control my weekly schedule because I could do work at any time.” –Anna P.
“Anna is always striving to submit the best work possible. She does not hesitate to ask questions to make sure her work is up to the teacher’s expectations. She is also very polite in all texts or course message conversations.” –Patricia Hooker, NCVPS French 2 Teacher
Advice to Online Students
Don’t procrastinate! Personally, if I get my work done at the beginning of the week, I’m proud of myself.
My favorite platform is Instagram. I “accidentally” spend a lot of time on it.
Gadgets and Things
I love my iPhone 6s. I’m a social person, and I communicate with my friends on it.
I want to live in NYC and work in costume design for Broadway.
This is my first year of high school at a new school. My goal is to get straight A’s.
I’m about to start piano lessons after taking a break for a few years. I also play the ukulele and a little guitar.
My favorite book is Hyperbole and a Half. It’s hilarious and a true work of art! I like print books because I love that new book smell.
Right now, I’m obsessed with “Mia and Sebastian’s Theme” from LaLa Land. I’m learning to play it on the piano, and it’s stuck in my head all the time.
Favorite TV Show
Stranger Things, of course!
Our family is going to Isla Mujeres for Christmas. It’s a little weird not spending the holiday at home (or somewhere cold), but I’m really excited.
