NCVPS Super Student Sarai B.

Meet Sarai B.

“My experience with NCVPS has been really great so far. It has let me have a flexible learning schedule, and despite not meeting like a usual classroom, I’m still able to have that one-on-one with my classmates and teacher. Having a language coach also helps very much because I’m able to go through things and ask them more in detail if I have questions or problems understanding.” –Sarai B

“I’m really so proud of Sarai and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to teach her through the course. From the beginning of the course, Sarai has demonstrated excellence and responsibility in learning Arabic. She didn’t miss any of her coaching sessions, and she shows an amazing progress with amazing grades. Sarai likes math and science, and with her Arabic she is definitely looking to learn more about the Arab scientists from the golden age like al-Khwarizmi (c.780-c.850) the father of Algebra and Al-Kindi (801AD-873AD) and others. Way to go!” –Georges Marayati, NCVPS Arabic Teacher

Advice to Online Students

I know that many people now have a cellphone or other electronic devices in which they can download the Canvas app and have their class at their fingertips. It makes it so much easier to stay on task and turn stuff in on time (even for someone as forgetful as me). If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask because that will make it harder on yourself. There are many people there to help you.

The Internet

Truthfully, my favorite internet sites are places where I can watch movies from different parts of the world. Yeah, this doesn’t seem like what an on-point student would do, but honestly to me, it has helped me to get a better grip on the language and understand it as well because I am able to see what real life conversations are like. One might not be able to understand it right then and there, but it lets you get an idea of it. But hey, I’m not saying that is the right thing to do, and go and watch movies no no no.

Gadgets and Things

Phones, GPS most definitely, Laptop, chromecast

Future Plans

Ten years from now, I would honestly still be in school pursuing a medical degree

Semester Goals

My goal is to make all A’s and not miss school so much. I will try my best even if it’s not what I want.

Random Note

I used to ice skate, and I have really long hair that reaches all the way to the back of my knees.

Favorite Books

I prefer printed books than ebooks because they hurt my eyes after a while, I don’t have a favorite book. I like all the ones I have read so far.

Favorite Music

I don’t have any specific I like all kind’s of music from classical, country, American pop or any Asian pop, Bollywood, and so forth.

Favorite TV Shows

I don’t have any specific love for TV in general, but I love Marvel movies and action.

Interesting Note

I love to cook. My family is really big (we are nine in total with our puppy). I was born in Mexico but grew up in the U.S.A. I don’t have any memories and don’t know anything about my family there nor know anything about my birthplace, which I hope to be able to see and know about one day. I’m looking forward what the future will bring and where it will take me.
