The NCVPS Super Student Award is for students who have gone above and beyond the course requirements and as a result have enriched the content, class dynamic, their own learning, their classmates’ learning, and even their teacher’s learning.
“I am in Croatia for the semester because of soccer and have a very busy schedule with the amount of soccer I play. NCVPS changed my education because it allowed me to schedule my own work and time and forced me to become more responsible.” -Craig S.
“Not only does Craig possess excellent critical thinking and writing skills, but his mature approach to being an independent learner while playing soccer in Croatia demonstrates his commitment to and passion for excellence.” – Jessica Ludders, English II Honors
NCVPS Experience: I have completed Chemistry (H) and Math III (H), and am currently in Entrepreneurship, Personal Finance, English II (H), and American History (H).
Craig’s Online Learning Advice: Always stay up to date on coursework because it is very hard to catch up once behind.
Semester Goals: A goal I have this semester is to absorb culture in Croatia and be on GNK Dinamo Zagreb’s radar for future players.
Future Goals: I hope to be a professional soccer player in the next three years, even if it is at a low level. I will work hard at trainings and try to find and take as many opportunities as possible to become a better player and have the chance to be a pro.
Tidbits: I am currently learning the Croatian language outside of school. I have been to Sweden, Italy, Croatia, Slovakia, and many US states for soccer.
For Fun: I use Instagram usually when I am online and YouTube is one of my favorite sites. My favorite TV show is Impractical Jokers because it always makes me laugh and is a good one to just take a break with.
