AnnouncementWhile our fall open enrollment period has ended, options are still available to support students. These options will be especially helpful for students who are unable to return to the classroom following Hurricane Helene.

Transfers – We accept transfer students after regular enrollment has ended. Transfer students should be enrolled in the class at the face-to-face school and have instructional time with a teacher. If a student has a grade to transfer in with, please include that in the transfer request. We will accommodate transfers as long as we have available seats in the course, and most courses have room for new enrollments. Transfers may be an excellent interim solution for displaced students or those facing extended school closures.

Open a ticket with our Virtual Support Center to transfer students. Be sure to include the following in your ticket:

  • student’s name
  • PowerSchool ID#
  • school name
  • transfer grade
  • course needed
  • any student details that can help the NCVPS teacher

You can attach a spreadsheet with those details if you have multiple students. If you need additional funding, you can apply for NCVPS reserve funds.

Our transfer window closes at midterms. Please note these dates:

End of Early Start Block Classes: Nov. 12

End of Standard Start Block Classes: Nov. 27

Normally, transfer options remain open until midterms, but we are extending this for schools impacted by the hurricane. Please note in your transfer request that you’re a hurricane-impacted district, and we will make every effort to complete the transfer.

Co-teaching – You can add students throughout the semester to our co-teaching OCS and intervention courses. However, you can only add to existing sections. We can’t open new sections at this point.

PE/Health – Our second session health and PE courses are still open for registration.

Emergency Requests – We understand that the hurricane disrupted regular operations for many schools, and each school has special circumstances. Contact our Virtual Support Center for help.

Partnership Courses – In this program, we provide the online course and all the technology for the course, and the local school or district provides the teacher. This program is a good option for schools with displaced teachers and students. You can continue to add students to your partnership courses throughout the semester.

Spring 2025 – Registration is open for all Spring 2025 classes!
