North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) is preparing for yet another upcoming, exciting, and highly beneficial semester of Edvantage Tutoring. We would love to have middle and high schools on board across the state!
NCVPS Edvantage Tutoring will be offered in the following curriculum areas:
• 7th & 8th Grade ELA
• 7th & 8th Grade Math
• 7th & 8th Grade Science
• 8th Grade Math I
• High School Math I
• High School Math III
• High School Biology
• High School Chemistry

We have now officially completed our pilot year for state-led virtual tutoring, and are now entering into an official pay model for school/district participation. Beginning Fall 2023, there will be a flat fee of $35/hour for tutoring. Once a request for the total number of hours is submitted, NCVPS personnel will review and contact you with information on how to proceed with payment. Edvantage Tutoring is 100% remote, however, our tutors have proven they are able to build relationships with the students to help them increase their confidence and skill level in the area(s) of focus. All tutors are NCVPS teachers who are NC licensed and have a proven passion for not only their curriculum area, but for helping students succeed.
With our highly effective and credentialed teachers in place as tutors, we feel our tutoring hourly rate is competitive, and yet a great financial investment considering our teachers are accustomed to, and understand well, specific NC teaching standards across curriculums. Data snapshots of each district’s attendance information in Edvantage Tutoring will be shared so that participation can be monitored.
Tutoring for the 2023-24 academic year begins September 18, 2023 and will be available Monday-Thursday, 4:00PM-7:30PM nightly. Daytime tutoring is also available per school/district request.
