nc virtual super student kiana v

Meet Kiana

“My advice to other online students is to do the work! Catching up on an entire module takes time. It is better to stay on track or even work ahead in case something comes up.

I like to spend most of my time online on Buzzfeed. Their articles are interesting and they aren’t all school-related. I also like to spend time on Twitter because many of the tweets are funny.

My favorite technology gadget is my iPhone and you would rarely see me without it.

I want to be a Neonatologist, which is basically a doctor specifically for newborn babies.”

“Kiana is an excellent student. She takes to heart the lessons within the assignments, not merely fulfilling requirements.” – Michelle Moncrief, Music Appreciation Instructor

Kiana, from a Music Appreciation Discussion Forum on Jazz Music:
“The Great Depression influenced jazz music greatly because the roots of jass music were all about hardships. People were going through hard times during the Great Depression and jazz helped them to escape that, even if it was for a few hours. I also believe that while they would go to nightclubs and dance to jazz music, it lifted people up and helped them to forget about the world around them.”
