“Gabe is doing this class mostly on his own, from home right now, and has been a very conscientious student. His classroom teacher has been checking on him but also has her own classes, so Gabe asks me questions regularly and lets me know how he’s doing. He really wants to do his best. He is refreshingly humble, because he does a super job and sometimes takes extra time to make sure he polishes his work, but always wants to do better. He is also civic-minded and encourages others to do their best. He recently posted about an editing assignment (to edit someone else’s work) as follows: “Capitalization errors, sentences that were not organized correctly, punctuation errors, and misspelled words make me confused. Not that I don’t want to learn about this lesson or I don’t know much about grammar, but I do want to learn more about it. I just need a better understanding of it. I’ll try to be more careful and aware of what to know in a lesson. Gabe’s Story
I’m a very honored and friendly student. And as an individual, I am positive, confident, encouraged, and a talented artist. What has shaped me into the person that I am today is, that I’ve experienced many interactions with my family and friends, challenging myself, doing school work I’ve never done before, learning new things that will be important later in my life, understanding the consequences of my actions and purposes, and improving, encouraging, and having faith in myself when I’m down sometimes.
Online Experience
I may know English very well, but there are still things I’m struggling with: communicating and understanding certain definitions and vocabulary words. There are also certain times I don’t know how to explain certain things about myself to others, which was difficult for me and my friends and family. However, my in-person teacher signed me up for this class to help with my academic needs.
I have taken Financial Management, English 4 and 3, American History, Applied Science, and Biology with NCVPS.
Taking online classes changed my education because of how much effort the online teachers put in to guide me. By taking pre- and post-assessments, doing many fun assignments, and checking my knowledge, I have a lot of fun learning that I know so much.
Taking online classes has been a pleasant surprise, indeed! I’m so glad I was still able to finish my work online. I recently moved far from the location of the school, and luckily I still can finish my courses online. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to graduate in my last year of high school.
Life Outside of School
I love to draw comics, cartoons, anime, stories, and animations. I like to watch movies and games, play video, board, and card games, walk and run, listen to music, talk to friends and family, eat a lot of food (I’m always hungry 😉 ), and entertain people with my talented work of art, such as my drawings, comics, and animations.
My favorite songs are from the Pokemon series “The Journey Starts Today,” “A Sky Full Of Stars,” “Love You Still (a-b-c-d-e-f-g-h I love you still), and game music and songs. My favorite shows are “Pokemon” and “Sailor Moon” (anime and cartoons), and my favorite movies are “Captain Marvel,” “The Marvels,” and “Five Nights at Freddy’s” (also one of my favorite games). Lastly, my favorite games include “Five Nights At Freddy’s,” “Minecraft,” “Roblox” (anime love story and action games), “Poppy Playtime,” “Garten Of Banban,” and “Indigo Park.”
Goals & Future Plans
My goal at school is to graduate high school. My personal goal is to become an animator/cartoonist and make my animation studio like Disney, and WarnerBros. I’ll try to keep making drawings, comics, and animations to share them with many people around the world, and eventually, I’ll be famous and try to earn money by getting into animation jobs and achieving my goal.

I’m very talented at drawing.
No-carb snacks, such as meat and cheese, pork rinds, flavored pretzel twists, chocolates, candy, TicTacs, flavored popcorn, caramel popcorn, chips, pears and Asian pears, blueberries, watermelons, melted pepperoni and cheese, and sausages are my favorites.
Personal Notes
Since I’ve been to North Carolina, I’ve been discovering along with my family and many friends that live in this state that we visit, we learn, we have fun, we laugh, we play, we cheer, we eat, we do all kinds of things around here. But the one place I miss is my home state, Massachusetts. I used to live there in Waltham, Massachusetts. I almost had the same amount of discoveries and fun there as I do in North Carolina.
I also want to give a shout-out to this class for supporting a lot of students who need assistance, help, knowledge of learning, and many more. Also, there was one of those lessons about the basics of you learning about famous authors and writers, and trying to make your own stories. I had a lot of knowledge about all of those lessons. I could be an author too along with my comics and novels while I’m at it. Thanks to all of you who have helped me get through this wonderful journey in this class. 🙂
