“One goal I had this semester was to finish my NCVPS course before March. I wanted to do this so I could have more time to focus on my AP exams and ACT/SAT tests. It was really hard, but I worked really hard and got it done.” – Kennedy K.
“Kennedy finished her final exam on February 19th, less than a month after the course began. She finished with an A. She took the entire course, 17 chapters, in about three and a half weeks. When I asked her why she was working so fast, she very nonchalantly said, “I have a lot of AP classes, so I want to finish this one so I can focus on them.” She took advantage of the self-paced format that NCVPS offers, banked another A in her GPA and moved on to her other classes. She is truly super, in every sense of the word!” – Shara Packman, NCVirtual Latin I Instructor
I took Latin I because it worked with my schedule and gave me flexibility. Taking an online course helped me learn to be independent and rely more on myself to learn things. I really enjoyed being able to do things at my own pace. I could choose how long I spent learning each topic.
To other online students, motivation is hard, but if you do just a little bit a day, you won’t fall behind.
I run track; my main event is the 300m hurdles, but I also run the 100m hurdles and the 4×400. I also love photography, which I have been doing for about two years now. I also enjoy creative writing.
I love listening to country music, and my favorite musicians are Zach Bryan, Koe Wetzel, the Turnpike Troubadours, Tyler Childers, and Jason Isbell. My all time favorite show is The Office.
I did NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) and I wrote a 100-page novel in 30 days.
I don’t have a lot of plans, but I do want to go to BYU. It’s a fairly competitive college, so I’ve been working to make myself a competitive applicant by taking the ACT/SAT, taking AP classes, participating in clubs, playing sports, etc.
I love to travel, my favorite place I’ve been is England and I hope to go back someday. I love going to concerts.
I love anything chocolate.
I could not live without my truck because I love driving.
