The State Board of Education approved $1,350,000 in ESSER III funding for the NCVPS summer school program, making our online courses even more accessible to students across North Carolina. This funding will be shared with each district and charter school based on their ADM. We encourage you to take advantage of this incredible opportunity! This funding is good for any NCVPS course offered during the summer session.
To view the ESSER-funded allotments for your district or charter, please consult the Summer 2023 Enrollments Covered by ESSER III Funds spreadsheet. Any enrollments exceeding the ESSER III-funded courses will count toward your NCVPS allotment totals.
Our summer school kicks off on June 27, with the deadline to utilize your special summer funding set for June 16. After this date, any remaining funds will be redistributed to other districts and charter schools in need.
This remarkable opportunity offers students who might not typically have access to summer classes a chance to excel. Each summer, we witness a diverse range of students participating in our courses for various reasons. Registration Notes
NCVPS registration for 2023-2024 opens on April 3. Your new 2023-2024 standard allotment will be posted in our registration system at that time. You will see summer enrollments deducted from your standard allotment total; however, we will add those ESSER-funded enrollments back into your district or charter school’s account after summer enrollment has concluded.
Summer ESSER III enrollments can be used for any course in our summer catalog. On our catalog page, you can filter for summer courses:
