At North Carolina Virtual Public School, we know strong communication is vital to student success, especially in the virtual world. To make those connections happen, reliable contact information is an absolute must for NCVPS. Please help us obtain accurate contact information for your school, NCVPS students, and their parents.
School Contact Information
Let’s make sure your school’s primary contact information is up-to-date in our registration system. If you’re new to NCVPS, we call this role the e-learning advisor, or ELA.
School ELAs should make sure their contact information in the NCVPS registration system is correct. If you are no longer serving in the ELA role, please have the new ELA update the contact page in our registration system. Our teachers will need school contact information right away.
System Access
If you forgot your password to the NCVirtual registration system, open a ticket with our Virtual Support Center to have your password reset. Our system only generates one login per school, so you will need to share the username/password with other school personnel who may need access.
Updating Contact Information
1) Begin by logging in and clicking the “My Info” button in the registration system. This takes you to the account information for you and your school.
2) Update your contact information the first time you log in and whenever it changes. You must enter your email in BOTH email boxes for the data to be saved.
3) After you update your information, click the ‘Update’ icon at the bottom to save your updates. (See below.)
4) You can also change your password here. Notice that there is a separate “Update” icon for passwords. You cannot save contact information and password information at the same time. You must do those two tasks separately.
Student and Parent Contact Information
PowerSchool will often have the wrong email address for students who have moved schools. You can update the student’s email address at the point of registration:
NCVPS tasks its teachers to have regular communications with the parents or guardians of their students. However, our teachers often find the contact information in PowerSchool is not accurate. Please help our teachers find update-to-date parent contact information. Our teachers will be reaching out to you, as we rely on schools to provide that information. We are sure your school will need current parent contact information, too!
